With its title taken from Dorian and its attempt to paint a pastoral image of Wilde’s younger life, this is supposed to be pretty, conventional. I wanted it to feel almost classical to represent in a sense the conventional beginning. However, there are subthemes which challenge it, too many melodies and a building cacophony of conflict.
