I became obsessed with the idea of the bolero and its connection to white. White Rabbit and White Room are both rock music boleros so White Sands employs a bolero rhythm too.

It is a song of life's journey and in a sense a song of rebirth. The idea of the desert as a cleanser and also something that eats the past.
